Help with tops that DO NOT make me look pregnant.
If one more person asks me if I am expecting, I will scream.
I am about 5'2 range between 120-125 lbs. Mostly bigger in my middle and chest. I am a very plain dresser. I am also o na budget so i shop in Kohls and NY and Co. All the tops I see are the baby doll types that make me look pregnant. Or if they are fitted my boobs look to big and cant wear it to work( i teach 6th grade). Any pictures of flattering tops??TIA

Re: Help with tops that DO NOT make me look pregnant.
I have to keep myself from posting the same thing every day. I'm almost exactly your shape, but a little shorter and a little fatter and a lot more annoyed
I find I have to get really creative in the clothing department to look half decent. I can't tell you where I shop, but its everywhere. If I think of whats it my closet its H&M, Century 21, Marshals, Macy's (INC), Victoria Secret, Banana Republic ...
I think you should be looking at empire waited tops that are A-Line. V-Necks are great and if too low, you can wear them with a tank underneath, it still gives a great effect.
Here's the thing about low budget clothes, in general I find material to be terrible. Too clingy and too loose, you want thick heavy fabrics that drape straight not cling. Cling is like a magnifying glass for bulges. Avoid ribs at all cost. eta: I ment to say gathered ruffles... I don't know why I used the word ribs lol
Let me see if I can google anything for you. But I have to tell you it takes a lot of shopping, and I never feel I have enough clothes.

I have this top in a few colors, I ordered a size up, because my chest is a E-F, and I find (ironic as it is) Victoria Secret size its clothes for smaller chests. And it drapes very well. I wore it without a tank once and I was haning out everywhere You need a tank with it, but I think you can dress up with a lace tanks and it would be good for work.

Re: Help with tops that DO NOT make me look pregnant.
images are tricky to post so I'll post links to other stuff I own that works really well for me.
I own these two and they are great (I don't see the colors I got though)
Cinched-three-quarter-sleeve-top
Solid-surplice-tank
These are similar, but when I tried them I could pass for a very prego woman, they were terrible on the tummy and drew all attention to my midsection

I sometimes feel like I alone keep fed ex and ups in business with all my purchases and returns.

I have this top in black, its actually feels so cheap and the material is very thin, but surprisingly it drapes so nice and is so flattering on the midsection - more for evening, or weekend, than work though I think

Re: Help with tops that DO NOT make me look pregnant.
Shirts that are tight on the hips and flowy at the wait are most flattering for a figure like you describe.
Here are some that I would suggest-
LOFT:
ZARA:
OLD NAVY
BANANA
GAP

Noel, I don't like the baby doll tops either, and they always seem to reappear when I have a weight loss and want to wear something that doesn't make me look pregnant!!!! Mary

Re: Help with tops that DO NOT make me look pregnant.
V neck tops look great on large busted women.
Sometimes I have my tops taken in at the waist so I don't look preggo either (I have big boobies but am a size 0 or 2)
