Crystal Light Pure Fitness
I know that we discussed this a while ago, but was wondering if anyone asked the doctor if it was ok to drink?
I bought it this weekend and really see no reason why it should eb a problem since it is sweetened with Truvia and that is "safe"

Re: Crystal Light Pure Fitness
i believe that one is fine, because its a natural sweetener...
all the other crystal lights are artificial sweeteners.
i dont drink it a lot, but occasionally i use the pure fitness.

do a google search of truvia and base your opinions on that. I refuse to use it, MORE then the sweeteners. It was banned in the US by the FDA for a long time. Based on what I read, and spoke to my Dr about it, we agreed, that I would not use it.
Besides the trivia, it contains a lot of sodium, more then one should drink
but again, do some research and base your info on that and your draws opinion

Re: Crystal Light Pure Fitness
truvia is made through an unnatural process from what I understand.
I see a nutritionist because I have GD. I am not allowed ANY fake sugars. I specifically asked about truvia... and she said no way.. it's not a natural sugar... even though the packaging says so. IDK the process by which it's made so IDK the details.
She even made me chant..."fake sugar does not make healthy babies"
It got weird in there.
Anyway we are a crystal light household and I just like the way crystal light iced tea tastes. My DH drinks it ALL the time. And I used to as well but no more.
I'm sure there are preggo's out there who drink it and are totally fine.

yes I was told this as well. That it was banned here for a very long time by the FDA. And the FDA seems so lackadaisical with a lot of things, so I was surprised it was banned here for a while to begin with.

I drank it the first few weeks not knowing. then I did some research and threw it all away. I think you would need a LOT of it before it becomes harmful but who knows. For me, after I read up on it, and talked to my dr, I just stopped all together.

Re: Crystal Light Pure Fitness
at this point... regular sugar in the raw is probably the best thing since it's real.

Re: Crystal Light Pure Fitness
I pretty much stayed away from any artificial sweeteners as a general rule of thumb.
