is there any company out there that does "Hidden Potential" type stuff?

I want someone to come to my house and tell me which of my ideas is best suited to our house and budget.

I want that Barry dude from the show, but obviously that is NOT happening.

is there a service like this in real life?

I just did it myself - knew what I wanted and had several ideas. I explained them all to the contractor and they told me the pros and cons of each and how much each would cost.

I'm sure an architect could do the same thing for you. Tell him what you're looking for (more space, more bedrooms, more bathrooms, bigger rooms, more common area, bigger kitchen or whatever your needs and wants are) and they should be able to give you some options, then write up the one that appeals to you most.
