FSH girls
can i ask what your path has been and how you've gotten there? (meaning meds, treatments, etc)
Been seeing an RE since march. Waiting for AF on tuesday. BFN's. I'm supposed to call on day 1 of AF to set up an appointment.
I have yet to have a amh or afc test done. I know the RE wants to repeat the day 3 bloods.
But then what? is clomid useless? will i be going on to IUI's or IVF?
Just trying to prepare myself for what's to come.

i never did clomid. i went right to injectables. i have done iuis and ivfs. i have a verrrry high fsh .
not sure what doc you are seeing.... or how high your fsh is... but everyone responds differently to meds!! gl!

I'm seeing Dr Stelling in stonybrook. My fsh is 13.6.
just curious, but why didn't you try clomid?

Never tried Clomid either...mostly due to my age as I was told that Clomid was not generally good for us older girls and it thins the lining. I basically did 2 IUI's and have done 2 IVF's. Unfortunately, I had a m/c a few weeks ago after the last IVF. I would definitely get an AMH test done as soon as you can to give you some indication of your ovarian reserve and how aggressive you need to be. GL!!

My fsh is elevated at a 10.6 Which is high for my age (30). We started w femara and I produced one follicle which stalled. I then switched to injectables w femara. 1st cycle bfn but I had 5 nice sized follicles. Now on cycle 2 of injectables. Dr. Suggested 3 iui's w injectables before moving on to ivf. We have zero ivf coverage tho. Good luck!!!

bc clomid does thin out lining....and also jsut bc the docs i have seen rec'd injectables...only person who mentioned clomid was a reg ob :)
