Laminate Flooring
I have to buy laminate flooring for two rooms, one 10x12 and 12x14. How much do I buy and what other supplies to I need to install it.
Any info on where to buy good quality at a low price?
TIA

Re: Laminate Flooring
What brand are you purchasing? Have you looked at any that you like? Costco has laminate flooring for a pretty good price.

Re: Laminate Flooring
Brand doesn't really matter as long as the quality is good. I've seen a few styles from Shaw that I like. I'm going to check out costco's website and see what they have.
Any brand suggestions? I found Sequoia Solid Maple on costco and like the look..is that any good?
Thank you!
I'm clueless lol

Re: Laminate Flooring
I just went to Carpet Time in Farmingdale, they have the best prices and we shopped around. Our rooms are basically the same size and with just the floor it costs me 555 and change. I am going to purchase the padding from either Ikea or lowes/depot who ever is cheaper. you also need moldings but that too we are going to get on our own dont know how much yet.

Re: Laminate Flooring
I never heard of Sequoia Solid Maple. The Costco brand I purchased was Harmonics laminate flooring. They sell it in the store. I didn't see it on their site. I think its good quality. I installed it in two bedrooms and my Den. I don’t recall the price.
Measure the area(s) you wish to cover. Get the square footage. Go to Costco and view the Harmonics package details. It will tell the square footage it covers and you can determine how much you’ll need. Whichever manufacture you select, you should stick with their padding. Don’t mix and match.
I previously installed Quick Step Uniclic laminate in my living room/dining room and a hallway. When I decided to do the bedrooms and den I came across the Costco brand, Harmonics which looked just like the Quick Step Uniclic and was cheaper. I went with it and I'm very happy.
There are other brands such as Alloc, Wilsonart and Pergo. They all are good.

Re: Laminate Flooring
I would stay away from Pergo.
