Here we go again- OMG ants!

every year without fail I get black ants- not carpenter ones, pavement ones. I get the outside of the house sprayed. This year like clockwork I keep finding them in the bathroom window. So I go outside and spray ortho home defense , and wait and wait. i go inside and there are 4 n the bathroom window I think I drove them inside. So now I have ant traps down, and sprayed ortho home defense in the window. Would you keep spraying, wait to see if you do not see anymore/ we are recaulking the window tomorrow afternoon . I am going to be sick. The ones I did see are not even running it is almost like they are drunk. My house is clean, I do not live with one bug! advice? tips?

I get ants without fail every year too...Ijust smash em and move on. I know I keep a clean house so I just accept it and do everything you do

When I saw them coming into our house from the front door, I lined the front door threshold with Borax and eventualy they died off and stopped coming in. I also always have two planters at our main entryway. It seemed that they were hanging out around the planters. Also be mindful of leaving items outdoors for sometime and then bringing it into the house. Last year I left DD stroller on the front lawn for hours and brought it in at night where shortly thereafter I noticed a colony of ants marching of off her stroller. Needless to say I won't make that mistake with the stroller again or any item that stays outdoors too long. Good Luck!

Update- I actaully kept checking last night and saw them coming out of the drain in the tub!!!! So we put home defense down the drain and then pulled the stopper . We found only 1 ant in the middle of the night. They were coming in thru a window and going down the drain for water . I hope this is the end of it. I am going to seal up the window cracks outside, spray again, and hope for the best. I was thinking of putting down some boric acid , not sure yet. I am so tired, I hardly slept last night, and the smell of the bug stuff has given me a headache. I feel like I see ants when there are none, I feel itchy, and gross!
