I would pack a comfy but light hoodie that zippers just in case. Most of the stuff I packed I didnt use but that I did.

Re: is it cold in the hospital?
From my experiences I do remember always being a little chilly no matter what the weather is like. But then again I was always there seeing a sick grandparent so it could have been due to nerves. I am always chilly unless it's like 70 outside. I'm sure 1 extra lightweight shirt won't be a bad idea. Better to have it and not need it then to be uncomfy.

Re: is it cold in the hospital?
I had my DD in May and the AC was up high, but we were able to turn it down if we wanted to (LIJ). I remember from the medicine I would have hot flashes and cold flashes and woke up FREEZING two nights in a row and buzzed the nurse who brought 4 blankets to cover me with so that I could stop shaking!

hospitals should always be a little on the chilly side so that it doesn't harbor germs

Ditto... same with me. It was May 2009 at LIJ. Some days I was hot and some days cold. Your body may feel different than what everyone else feels since you just gave birth. I remember freezing and shaking in the middle of the night
