Nope...you just pull your pants down to around your hips...it's an external sonogram  . You're fully clothed the entire time.
I took my dad and my mom with me with DS and with this pregnancy

I had both internal and external US, but I didn't have to undress on top. Did not get an internal exam, just internal US to follow the external US.

mine was both internal and external cause the baby wasn't cooperating for one of the measurements.

mine was belly-only, not internal. i kept my clothes on the entire time and just pulled down my pants (so wear pants and not a dress!)

It SHOULD be as long as baby cooperates! But if you have a stubborn baby like I do, you might need the internal.
I JUST had my first external-only sono this past Friday at 34w5d.  Every single other sono I've had needed to be both because she is stubborn!

Nope. Fully clothed. They move your pants down lower, but it's an external sono
