Numbness and tingling in arms
My arms (especially my right arm) keep getting numb and tingly - even when i'm using them to clean or type not just when im sitting still or lying in a certain position. Does this happen to ayone else? Any ideas what is causing this?

Re: Numbness and tingling in arms
One of my friends from work had carpal tunnel while pregnant. Apparently this can happen, and I'm guessing it has something to do with all of the loosening of the ligaments? Maybe this is something like you have.

Re: Numbness and tingling in arms
I have it in both arms - it's one of my least favorite pregnancy symptoms. According to my OB and physical therapist - it's carpel tunnel and is caused by the water retention that constricts nerve pathways (or something like that!).
I have day braces and night braces for each arm/wrist. Mine starts in my elbows and radiates up my arms......I haven't had any feeling in three of the fingers on my left hand in well over a week now. Ugh - it's so distracting.
The braces work somewhat. I also recommend icing your elbows, wrists, and hands. I do it every night and find that it helps to ward off the swelling long enough to get some decent sleep. I'm always up by 3:00 am or so swinging my arms to regain some feeling!
Hope something helps for you!!
