I'm thinking full-time daycare.. but yesterday, I had the ballz to speak to a nanny who I see every morning and evening. I find out, they don't need her after this year because the family is moving to VA.. and I was like.. OMG.. really?!? But DH is not feeling the whole stranger watching our LO all alone.. so it will be daycare. I kid you not.. ever since BFP, I have been calling up daycares.. and setting up appts.. the prices make up eyes pop out.. but I want to go back to work.. and my job will strictly be 8 to 4..

i would love to be a SAHM but theres no way we can afford that. we hired a a SAHM to watch our LO full time

Probably the same...thought I might start working part time during that first year. It's going to be hard living on one salary. This makes me sad because I really dont want to put our baby in daycare. I'm definitely taking off from teaching the first year...and thinking of doing some part time work at night (waitressing...teaching night school..etc).
I don't know what will happen after that first year. I'm sure my mom and his mom could help out too. I just really dont want to be my baby in daycare.

My family mostly. I think we only need daycare 1 or 2 days out of the week.

I'm hoping to find someone who will come to our house for the first year and then daycare after that. There is a possibility of DH's sister doing it but she's a pretty heavy smoker. Not that she would smoke in the house or around the baby, I'm just not sure how I feel about it...

As much as I would love to be a SAHM, we can't afford that, so I'm cutting my hrs back at work to 3 days and my mom will be watching her those 3 days maybe only 2 if DH can work from home one day.

Without her, no way could we afford daycare for DD AND this new baby!

I wish I could be a SAHM but I have to work so MIL will be watching LO. Sometimes DH can work from home so on those days he will be home with LO.

I will be home for a few months and god willing all of next summer. My mom, MIL and BFF have all offered a day or 2, but with Trips, I think they are going to have to overlap. So maybe 1-2 days in daycare (DD goes there every once in a while, and she went full time when she was little).

My Mom, plus she watches my sister's 4 kids!! After the end of the year I plan on changing jobs to either PT or something with normal hours/normal commute so that I can be home more and she can get a break.
