Hmmm, I don't mean to be a downer, but I'm not sure there is a place like that within 5-6 hours drive from NY. That puts you in Virginia (even Virginia Beach is 7 hours away from Brooklyn according to Google Maps) and I don't think the weather will reach 75 degrees plus by the end of April 
Maybe you guys can plan a different type of trip? Less beach, more golf and dinners out?
