Strong winds and property damage?

Anyone having any issues with the high winds ruining their property?

My neighbor just called to let me know that my second story gutter is being ripped oud and he can see the nails.

There is nothing I can do. Hubby is working. I just hope that it doesn't blow completely off!

Re: Strong winds and property damage?

Yeah it's been a BADDDD year.
Last spring my FIL got extensive damage to his fence and roof when a neighbors tree fell in a really bad wind storm and hit his house.

Then over the winter my neighbor had a huge tree fall on his property- luckily it didn't hit any houses.

I swear- it's VERY windy around here.
Not sure why they call Chicago the windy city! We have it ALL over them! Chat Icon

Re: Strong winds and property damage?

Since we moved in we lost 3 considerably large trees, one was very close to the house and was pretty much the height of the house as well, other than ripping out our driveway (the whole root system was under there) thank God none of them hit the house. Insurance did help with the driveway (patch) but the removal of the stump was Chat Icon we only did one b/c we could afford to do all 3.
