When do you start putting everything together?

Just had my shower.. It was amazing! Now we have so much stuff.. When did you ladies start putting the swing together, taking the stroller out, etc? Or do we keep it all in the boxes until baby arrives?

Re: When do you start putting everything together?

I'm due today and we started doing that on Friday. got the car seat bases in and practiced getting the car eat in each. But the seat itself we re storing in the nursery until it's time to go.

We did the pack and play last night, and today we did a little with the car seat - adjusting it and such. We are going to take down the p n p each night I think, for practice and to not entice the cats to sleep in it

We are waiting on the swing and stroller, since he won't be using those right away.

I did put nearly everything together right after the shower to be sure everything worked and didn't need to be returned. I also washed all of the covers for the swing, bouncer, playmat etc, before DS was born.

We put together the stuff the baby will use right away right after the shower (i.e. swing, stroller, bouncy seat). I was 34 weeks at my shower. We stored the bumbo, high chair, jumperoo, until the baby is a bit older. We live in a two bedroom apartment and just didn't have the room for everything at once.

Re: When do you start putting everything together?

I had my shower last week and I put my swing together today ( my mom wanted to see it in action lol). I am 33 weeks. Once I clean my car I will put the strollers on there and probably my carseat in the next few weeks. When we do laundry I will probably put more stuff together

Re: When do you start putting everything together?

I put everything together the week after the shower. I did like one thing a night. There was only one thing I didnt put together yet and probably wont for a few months - it is one of those activity saucer bouncer things - the baby needs to be 6 months old to sit in it so we have some time and didnt want it take up room in the house.
