Calphalon vs. Circulon pots
Is there a big difference? Is one better than the other?
I have a large saute pan with lid that I use all the time and it's Circulon. I also have a 10" Calphalon omelet pan, with the red handle, that I like as well. All my other pots are such a mish mash of pots and pans.
I have a 30% off Kohl's coupon and I'm looking to get a new 10 or 12 piece set.
Any pros cons or advice? I'm trying to stay less than $250.

our set is circulon and i am very happy with it. We got them as an engagement gift 5 years ago and they look great now.

Re: Calphalon vs. Circulon pots
I have a calphalon set of pots and I HATE them. They were really expensive and are basically useless to me now. I would never buy Calphalon again.

My family have always had great customer experience with Calphalon, if you aren't happy with your pans write to them and they very well may replace them. They always have done with ours

I did. I called and spoke with them quite a few times and they didn't offer me much help or ever suggestions on what I could do to fix the problem. I was so turned off and sickened about it that I can't bring myself to contact them yet again. I am basically out more than $300 for a pot set.

I have Calphalon--I really dislike these pots but I will say I have had really good luck with their customer service. My parents also dislike their Calphalon.

I love my Calphalon pots, but I have the Stainless Steel ones not the Hard Anodized. I wanted to be able to put them in the dishwasher. Mine are almost 9 yrs old and in terrific shape.

Re: Calphalon vs. Circulon pots
i have circulon I am an intermediate cook and I have no complaints.
if you like to cook, that is very a good set.
I got the set in 2005 and they still sparkle (like almost new) in 2011.
The only other pots i have ever needed since 2005 was my Le Creuset Dutch oven and a cast iron grill pan- both worth the investment.
In addition, I often see many of the Circulon or Caphalon pieces in Homegoods for 20-30 a pop. For 5 pots @ 30 a pop that is $150 - and probably cheaper than Kohls...

Re: Calphalon vs. Circulon pots
Thanks!! I am sooo undecided! I definitely want the hard anodized and not the stainless steel. I have a ton of ss pots with the copper bottom and I hate them!
Those that hate the Calphalon, why??
I hand wash all my pots and pans anyway. I never put them in the dishwasher. I don;t mind heavy pots either. I just want something to last, where the coating doesn't start to come off on the inside and the bottoms don't warp after use!
