Water Breaking
Hi all,
I know I have a lot of questions...being this is my first pregnancy and i am a paranoid neurotic...lol
I have GBS and I am worried that I am not going to know when my water breaks to get to the hospital in time for IV antibiotics.
See, I have a yeast infection that will not go away, regardless of how many times I treat it, so my discharge at this stage is A LOT. SO much that if I do not wear a pantiliner it, at times, trickles down my leg and I can feel it come out (Sorry to be graphic, but I need advice).
How will I know the difference between my discharge and a "trickle" of amniotic fluid?
I already went to the hosptal on Saturday because I felt it drip down my leg but it was not amniotic fluid.
Any advice on how I will know the difference between my increased discharge and amniotic fluid???
This is freaking me out and I am begging my doctor to induce me... hopefully he will so my water breaks in the hospital.
Thanks so much girls! Jackie

Re: Water Breaking
Amniotic fluid is typically colorless and has an ammonia type smell.

Re: Water Breaking
amniotic fluid is typically clear and has a sweet scent, not at all like ammonia (urine).
I don't have any "leaking" experience - when my water broke, it gushed all over and didn't stop for an hour.
