when to pick names

I am due in July and my DH and I have not even discussed names. when did you ladies start to pick names?

Honestly? We had this discussion a gazillion times while dating!

In all honesty- If you both dont have your heart set on a name already, dont sweat it. The earlier you start thinking about it, the more you will change it! When you find the right name, believe me, you will both know that it will be "the one". It is sort of like picking out a wedding dress. When you know, you just know!

I did not name my child until 3 days old and the woman from the birth certificate office came in and yelled at me! It was such a debate!

We will starts deciding after next friday when we hopefully find out the gender. I have been throwing a few out there every now and then.

we also have been discussing names since dating but thats because we both have such different taste in names.

we have a list of some that we both agree on but we arent in love yet. i'm due end of june and its not decided yet. we go through phases of not talking about it at all just so we can clear our heads ya know, and then eventually we go back to discussing

When I was pregnant with DD and due in July, we had the names picked in February. Now I am due in July again and we have barely discussed names! We need to get going on it!

We started tossing around ideas when I first got pregnant. Then got serious about it when we found out they were . It actually wasn't too much of a discussion. We threw out a few names we each loved and agreed practically immediately.

we've had some names picked out since we were TTC so now I am 8 weeks with we actually have 3 out of 4 names picked out (2 girls and 1 boy name...just need 1 more boy name in case)

Only seriously started talking about it, about 2 weeks ago (I am 32 weeks along).

We knew what her name would be from the second we were told it was a girl. We already had a name picked out for a girl. Boys names would have taken us longer. We had so much trouble agreeing.

Don't worry. I still think you have plenty of time to decide on a name. Try baby name books and the Internet to find names you may like and that you and your hubby agree on.

I had and names that I had loved since HS. When I married DH I knew my name would have to be tossed because it does not pair with our last name.

We started discussing names when we started TTC and discussed more seriously once I got pregnant. DH loved my name so we tentatively agreed on that, but couldn't find any common ground on name so we decided to postpone our discussions until we found out the gender.

Once we found out the gender it seemed much more real so we had the "are we SURE we want this name for ?" discussion and decided 99% that we did. We had considered keeping our name a secret but decided not to this time around as we had already shared it with a number of family/friends, and when DH started telling people at our gender-reveal I got the "yes we're sure" clearance from him to tell my dad and grandma ( is named for my dad's father) and now there is no turning back!

That said... we still don't have a middle name but we've been discussing a few options and we'll get there eventually

I am sort of name obsessed so we have been talking names since we met

I am 13w1d and we have our girls name (I think...) boys we are still tossing around.

No worries, I'm due in July as well and have not completely decided on names. We've been decided on a boy name for yrs but we have yet to decide on any girls names. Just keep throwing combos of your faves together and sooner or later you'll both agree on something

We had both a boy and girl name picked out maybe a few months before we TTC. Topic just sorta came up and the names stuck.

we started throwing names around when TTC, and really started seriously talking about it in February (Due 8/18). We were set on a name and couldn't decide on any names. lo and behold we're having a girl. We have a first name. just still working on a middle name but can't seem to agree on anything.
