Does anyone live in a hat? Derm said it is hat time for me

So, I just ordered 2 hats from Sunday Afternoon.

One is hardcore, 4 inch brim with a neck flap in the back. I walk everyday, so I will wear this then...

Then I bought a second one, a 3 inch brim sports cap...I have to train myself to wear this one daily.
I am trying to be vain and think about wrinkle reduction...but I am so not a hat person. A big, big hair person.

did anyone successfully make the switch to hat wearer?

I do not live in a hat, but I do wear a hat a lot in the summer. If I am outside on a run or outside doing yard work or at the beach, I always have a baseball cap on and sunscreen. My siblings make fun of me, but two people in our family had skin cancer so I make sure to take precautions.

With that said, I lifeguarded for 9 years and wish I had been a hat wearer then.

I wear a hat to work in my garden. SPF 50 treated twill fabric. I put on my SPF30 sunscreen.

I wear my hat when I got for walks with DS with the stroller too, beach, playground.

It's NOT attractive but hey.... it does the trick. I feel like a grandma. But I am paranoid with wrinkles and skin cancer.

I have skin cancer and just had major surgery, so I'm looking for a cute hat to wear... I work in the sun every day, so I need something besides a baseball hat. What kind did you get?

walking, i normally just wore gap baseball cap...but have to step it up a notch.

has a long 3 1/4 brim

I know 2 other redheads who had melenoma spots on top of their head...that scares the hell out of me.

the derm said sunscreen is good( i live in it)
but no reason to be without a hat. that if i wear one now-in 25 years i will be so grateful

DH and I wear bucket hats when we are out in the sun for a long time. I think they look cute and I feel protected at the same time.

I wear a cowboy hat in the summer!!! There are some cute ones out there!!!

I usually wear a bucket hat (for walks, etc) , a flat rim hat (for my garden!) and a "cowboy" look hat.
