UPDATE* Do you wear clothes you don't like?

I planned on going shopping this weekend to get some new work clothes that FIT. I had to figure out what I needed so I tried on all of my old stuff -- and it all fit!

All my work pants, shirts - everything fits great! I can even button my jeans BUT they give me muffin top SO I need a little more time for THOSE and just bought one pair in a size bigger for now. So excited!!!

After I had my DD, I panicked and didn't want to end up on "What Not to Wear" so I bought a work wardrobe in my size at the time. Now, I am at least two sizes smaller but I dont have the cash to buy anything new so my work pants all look like I borrowed DH's and came to work.

Also, my mom bought me a bunch of sweaters, that are also huge -- but I still wear them.

So 4/5 days I am wearing clothes I don't like to work. I don't mind MUCH b/c its just work and I have some cute outfits to go out in but I wonder if anyone else does this?

i used to but i do not anymore.

I lost a tiny bit of weight a couple years ago and one day realized that my larger size skirts and pants were extremely unflattering.
I took about 15 of them to the seamstress and had them tailored. It cost me $150 approx, but it was well worth it. It felt like I had a new wardrobe.

I suggest you do the same if you can.

Yes, I do. I hate spending $$, so even if I don't like something, I'll wear it until I can't take it anymore.

I was just going to suggest seeing if you can have any of it tailored.

i agree with the tailoring. it's not super expensive and a lot of clothes, you would never tell they were tailored. if you can't do them all, pick a few classic pieces to start. slowly you can add to your wardrobe with new pieces in your current size.

My mother is a seamstress she keeps telling me she wants to take them in but I wanted to wait until I lost more weight. . .

I guess I should just go for it now!

If you are posting it here--it bothers you enough to mention it. I would have your mom take in the pants. I bet you will feel so much better

Definitely have your mom take them in or maybe sell them on ebay so you can get some cash to buy new stuff.
