Blurry Vision
I woke up this morning and have blurry vision in one eye. Has this happened to anyone? Should I call the doctor?

Re: Blurry Vision
CALL YOUR DOCTOR
I remember back in November or October someone in this forum had blurry vision one day and ended up having to be hospitalized. It's not something to take lightly. Not saying that's what's going on -- blurry vision and vision changes is extremely common during pregnancy. But it's not a situation to take lightly or dismiss either.

Re: Blurry Vision
Thanks - it seems to be getting a little better as the day goes on, but I guess better to be safe.

Re: Blurry Vision
I had this throughout my 1st pregnancy. At one point I remember wearing sunglasses at my desk b/c the computer screen was bothering me. It was nothing and happened sporadically. After DS was born it never happened again I did not get it this pregnancy. If you're uncomfortable then call your Doc b/c I did hear on this board of some serious cases. Someone also told me (when I posted back in the day about it) that it could be a sign of high blood pressure. FUnny thing is my blood pressure was always perfect or a drop low so I knew that wasn't it

Re: Blurry Vision
It is very common for vision to change during pregnancy. I had lasik prior to being pregnant with DS and was seeing 20/15, after pregnancy it was 20/25. I just went for my yearly check-up and I am seeing 20/40 in one eye and 20/60 is the other OMG I freaked but my DR assured me it will get better after pregnancy

Re: Blurry Vision
yes it was me that posted about this on wednesday. if you're in your first trimester it's probably low blood sugar and/or dehydration. if you're in your third trimester it could be something more serious, in which case i'd call the ob. since i'm in my first trimester the dr said to make sure i kept myself hydrated and ate frequently and not to worry - it's not uncommon.
mine went away and turned into a nasty headache!

Hope you are feeling better! I am 27 weeks, so not first tri. I am sure it is nothing, but I put in a call to the doctor to be safe!

Re: Blurry Vision
This happened to me. they said it was because the shape of my cornea changed. I wore contact though. Me wearing my contacts after my cornea changed shape caused an infection. I now can't wear contacts until after I give birth. I went to the eye dr. and they tried to give me drops , but a lot of drops are not safe for the baby. I used visine and the bluryness went away after about a week. Now I just wear my glasses and it hasn't happened again.
