hospital classes

how long before you're due should take classes? i definitely want to take a child cpr class and the breastfeeding class. a hospital tour would be nice too since i've never even stayed overnight in a hospital before.

I'm due next week. I took a full day Lamaze class (which included a hospital tour) the beginning of last month. I took infant CPR the end of last month. I was going to take a baby basics class the middle of last month, but it got cancelled, so I'm going to take one next month at my pediatrician's. At the lamaze class, I was one of the 'least' pregnant girls there. It was the beginning of February, and most of the girls were due the end of February.

ETA: Just saw your EDD....you should be fine if you can find classes in June.

i was literally just about to post this same question!! i am due 7/1 and i think im going to take some classes in april just because may and june get so busy!!

i took the hospital lamaze class which had a tour at 29w (i would have taken in at 33 weeks but we had other plans that weekend)

I am taking the breastfeeding class at 34 weeks.

You really should just do what is best for your schedule based on the dates the hospital offers the classes you want to take.

thanks! i think i'll look into the classes available in April/May cause June is my shower and I know i'll probably just be busy with last minute things before our little girl arrives.

I'm taking mine April 5th and that is 2 months until my EDD

I'm due 4/3 and haven't taken any yet, partially due to the weather and partially due to the hospital not updating their Web site for a month and a half! We are taking an infant class this week and labor and delivery (hopefully it includes a hospital tour) next week - BUT we woulda taken that last month but we were out of town.
