Ridiculously Emotional Weekend...
OMG... so I'm pretty sure my hormones are making me UNREALISTICALLY emotional. I don't even recognize myself!
First, my DH and I got in a STUPID fight Saturday about the tile in our bathroom renovation. It was all a big miscommunication, but I don't know what came over me... I friggin HYPERVENTILATED crying. My dh got so scared he apologized immediately and just "nursed" me back to breathing normally again. I was such a mess, I was so scared I hurt the baby. But I couldn't stop CRYING and I couldn't control my breathing. It was like a full blown panic attack! I was so embarrassed! And it wasn't even THAT bad of a fight at ALL! (I did get beautiful roses out of it because my dh felt so bad I got to that point).
Then we watched that Cake Boss Baby Special yesterday and when the baby was born - waterworks again. Not just teary eyed... friggin' sobbing! My dh looked at me and was like, what's wrong? This is HAPPY! That's gonna be US!. And it WAS tears of joy... it just didn't look like it because the tears were SO over-the-top.
I'm sure it's all because of hormones and fears of becoming a first time mom. I look around at everything that has to be done and just feel overwhelmed. And I totally feel like I've been lacking in my "wifely duties" (as old-fashioned as that sounds). I really kind of just feel like a failure lately! I even screwed up Swedish Meatballs yesterday, which was my first attempt at a home cooked meal in months! My husband tries to make me feel better, but I still feel like I'm slacking...
If you made it this far, thanks for listening to my rambling thoughts. It feels good to get it out!

Hang in there, we all have our moments. Sounds like your DH is fabulous and completely understanding/supportive. Best thing for you right now!
