I don't know if they are the "best" but I love the style of Timi & Leslie's bags. They look like a regular purse which is exactly what I was looking for.

With DS I started off with JJ Cole and liked it. But then the strap broke 
So I got a Ju-Ju Bee and LOVED it!

From what I hear from BTDT moms, Skip Hop bags are the "best". I found one at BBB that my DH and I both liked. It was ridiculously roomy with plenty of pockets.

That is the one I posted above you. I forgot to mention it is a Skip Hop one. Def. a lot of room and pockets.

I got a SkipHop, and I really love how many compartments are in it! It also have a lot of room .

Thanks girls. I just put the skip & hop messenger bag on my registry. I'm on bed rest trying to register from home  . It's a little frustrating and I'm going to have to take a quick run to the stores to feel some towels and clothes!

At first I registered and got this Skip Hop:
Skip Hop but I found it to be way too small and a lot of BTDT moms I spoke to said it won't be practical once the baby is a bit bigger. So I exchanged it for this JJ Cole bag and I absolutely LOVE it!!!

We registered for an Eddie Bauer diaper bag based on recommendations from Baby Bargains.
I sent DH to the section, gave him the brand names to look for and to choose one he liked and was comfortable carrying. He choose two styles - both Eddie Bauer and then we chose one of them to put on the registry.
From BTDT mom's - they advised me I would change diaper bags as the baby grows up, so I didn't want too expensive at the start since needs of children change.
