60 more days and I'm freaking out!!!!

Did you girls find yourself getting really scared the closer you get to your due date?

I'm freaking out at this point and mainly over labor and delivery. I'm scared about the pain, the contractions, the actual labor. Last night I looked at my belly and it hit me. Damn as she grows bigger, I have to push this huge thing out; it almost sounds impossible. How can something the size of a watermelon come out of there?!?! It's freaking me out!

I'm also scared about any complications that can arise from childbirth. I know this sounds completely insane but I even worry about having serious complications and dying right after childbirth. I know it's not very common or likely but it's not unheard of either. It's crazy the scenarios I come up with. And combined with the fact that I have Hugh blood pressure, I'm really freaking out over this.

Please tell me I'm not alone here! I find myself getting more and more nervous as the end draws near!

Kristin you are not alone. I think about these things also..haha I feel like there is something wrong with me for thinking this way. I am afraid of complications from childbirth as well. I don't really have any advice just wanted to say you aren't alone.

as someone that's 5 days past my due date, there comes a point where you just kind of want the baby out and there's no time for worries .

I'm almost 60 days from my due date too (April 22nd) and definitely have those days where I start to freak out over everything from how much left we still have to do to the birthing process to actually having to care for a little baby.....but as one of the PP said, I think as we get closer the discomfort will supersede the fear and we'll both want our babies out! Plus I just can't wait to meet him already!

I have 48 days and I am def in the same boat as you - I freak out and cry about it I am petrified of labor. I can't watch baby shows bc they make me anxious. I know women do it everyday and the dr and nurses are professionals- i think for me it is the unknown of obv never having been in the situation before. If we have another child I think that I would not have these fears cause I would know what to expect. We will all get through it and it will be worth it in the end!

I'm at 65 days and totally nervous. You are so not alone!!! I think I'm mostly nervous right now that the baby will come early, but I'm also nervous about being able to handle the pain and the cord getting wrapped around the babies neck.
