Vodka Sauce???
Hi,
I am 33 weeks pregnant and had homemade vodka sauce for dinner last night.
Had a lot left over and had some for dinner again tonight, not even thinking if it could be harmful to the baby. I threw the rest away...lol
Do you think its ok that I had it 2 nights in a row?
I am really nervous about this. Any feeback would be great!

Any sauce made with wine is not harmful to the baby. Like the other posters said, the alcohol cooks off...turns into sugar, which is how you get the sweet flavor.

I've had two servings this week too! I've been craving it for weeks and finally made some! The alcohol does burn off.

Thank you so much ladies! I knew it was ok because I've eaten it moderately before but I was just worried because I ate it 2 nights in a row, without thinking! You all eased my mind, as usual! :)

I have made it about 3 times since being pregnant and have had like to big bowls of it when I made it. Like the other girls have said it burns off.

there isn't even a significant amount of vodka in the sauce anyway.
you are fine.
i've had my fair share of vodka sauce this pregnancy.

I questioned it in the beginning, bit my DH said the alcohol burns off. I've had it many times, it's one of my favorites.
