Dr. Pilliterri

Hello Ladies,

I went to Dr. Pilliterri who was nice but I am still not so sure. I was told I have endometriosis and have cysts on my ovaries. I was told I will need to have a Laporoscopy and D&C done. I scheduled my surgery for 3/16/11 and was wondering if anyone else has had this done and could shed some light. Also has anyone had this done by Dr. Pilliterri at Good Samaritan?? I am really nervous...

Re: Dr. Pilliterri

i have a friend who i think had this exact problem and had a procedure with dr pillitteri...as soon as i hear back from her i will let you know

he's my doctor too, and he's a great doctor no need to worry about that one bit. and if the procedure you're talking about is what she had, it wasn't bad at all!!

Re: Dr. Pilliterri

Thank you so much :)
I think he is really nice and I think that he must know what he is doing cause he was rediculously packed when I went there on Monday night...I waited for an hour and 20 mins to see him!! Let me know if what I am having is what your friend had. I am seriously scared stupid!!

Hi I have endo also and had a lap done a few years ago to remove a cyst that was on my left ovary. The surgery and recovery was not bad at all. and now..almost 3 years later i have almost no scars from the lap.

I had surgery with Dr P last summer. Lap, cleared out
endometriosis, D+C, Cleared out tubes and removed an endometrial polyp. Everything went great. Good Sam was excellent. He is well respected there and WELL liked, so they treat his patients wonderfully!!! Try not to worry, you are in good hands Chat Icon

Good Luck!

Re: Dr. Pilliterri

I dont know how Dr. P is since i opted not to go to him. Its just too far from me and I didnt want to deliver at Good Sam. But I know a lot of people who LOVE HIM.

Good luck!!

Dr. Mark performed that surgery on me. He did a great job. Hardly any scars. He also delivered my twins. He is a great doctor!!

Re: Dr. Pilliterri

I haven't had any surgery with Dr. P - just switched to him when I got my BFP. But I will tell you he is the best doctor I've been to. I love that man. I'm normally a huge worry wart, but I have so much confidence in him that not even a trip to L&D at 17 weeks made me nervous. He's very proactive, well-respected in his field and at Good Sam, and has wonderful bedside manner. You don't need to think twice with him.

Re: Dr. Pilliterri

was thinking that LittleBeanz before I read your post....forgot to mention that.

Altho Dr P is GREAT, his office staff IS terrible. They are very rude. I went there to monitor my cycle and they always gave me a hard time b/c Dr P would just "fit" me in and they dont like that. JUST BE AWARE!!!! They also "lost" a msg for Dr P to call me back. He never did, someone did finally call me back 3 weeks later AND too late! I had called twice b/c he didnt call back, I gave up and went to a specialist for cycle monitoring b/c it is a crucial day by day schedule! I plan to use him for as an OBGYN tho! Just be TOUGH in getting what you want if u get the run around and DEF tell him your feelings, I hear he is too nice to fire anyone Chat Icon but you never know if he gets enough complaints, he may try a fix!!!
GOOD LUCK!
