Re: Gestational Diabetes

me!!! And I was kinda laughed at by the nutritionist, she said "you shouldn't be hungry then."

Oh well thanks for the help then... what good does that do me?

I usually just get a drink of crystal light iced tea and force myself to go back to bed, it has actually passed in the past two weeks... This is week 4 and im feeling less hungry in the middle of the night...so maybe u will too

When did u start the meal plan?

Sometimes that's your body telling you that you are low! Make sure to check your sugar if you wake up feeling that way Chat Icon.

Re: Gestational Diabetes

it used to happen to me when I was early on in my pregnancy.. 5-6 weeks... but when I told my doc he said that it was because of the steroids I was on.

Re: Gestational Diabetes

Are you eating a snack right before bed?

That might be the issue for you. If you are waking up starving in the middle of the night, compare your morning fasting level when you wake up. If it's a little high, then it means your body goes into starvation mode and your blood sugar spikes.

To curb this, you really should be having a snack right before you go to bed. I had a similar issue and I make sure I eat something and I don't get hungry and my fasting level stays blow range
