Registering at two stores

For those of you who registered at two different stores, how did you split up your registry? I'm registering at BRU and BBB. I'd prefer to put stuff on my BBB registry because their return policy is better, but I think BRU is going to be more popular because they have more locations. I don't know what to put on which registry.

I did BRU & Amazon. I put most of the baby gear (carseats, stroller, infant seat, sing etc) on Amazon b/c the prices were cheaper. I put bottles, breastfeeding accessories, diaper bag, and most diapering stuff on BRU...

I was going to post this same question!

We will have three-BBB, BRU, and Amazon. BBB had the crib we loved but none of my family lives anywhere close to a BBB. The amazon.com list is filled with children's book to start our LO's library. But I'm also not sure how to split our registries.

I registered at BBB and Amazon for the people OOS or those who wanted to purchase online (I think that BBB's shipping charges are outrageous!).

As of right now I just put a lot of the same big ticket items on both and I'm planning to monitor things as I go along. I believe that Amazon sends you an alert when something is purchased so I was just planning on adjusting the BBB registry if anyone buys something online. I think that most of our family/friends will buy in a BBB store, but we do have some family OOS who will use Amazon.

I did BBB and BRU because one store carried something the other didn't and vise versa. Then I decided to split up the big ticket items incase one store was closer than another for someone else.

Re: Registering at two stores

I tried to do two registries but really we have 1 and a half. We loved everything we found at BBB and it felt like a chore to put stuff on the BRU one. I tried to put some common things like pack n play and car seat onto the BRU from BBB but they dont carry the same patterns. I know that there aren't a lot of BBB around but I also know that a lot of people shop on line these days too so I am hoping that it will all just somehow work out.

Re: Registering at two stores

I did both, plus Amazon. I knew what I was going to register for ahead of time (thanks for Baby Bargains), so I made a list and the items and saw where they were available and at what price. Whatever store carried the item for the better price, I made a note of it. Plus, some of the items weren't available at BRU and only BBB and vice versa, so that helped even things out.

Some items we put on both registries, like the pump and swing as we wanted to give people that choice.

Re: Registering at two stores

DH and I were just talking about this last night. I think we're going to do whatever is cheaper. We're in Queens so for quick stuff like diapers and ointments I'm going to do BRU and maybe big ticket items for BBB. I want to make it easy for family and friends to shop at a good price too. Good Luck everyone! We're starting next week.

Re: Registering at two stores

I did both as well, BBB & BRU. I originally only had 1 registry set up at BBB but they don't have many locations and I really didn't want people to go far out of their way. Although their return policy is better, we did set up a registry at BRU and ended up splitting the registry between the 2.
