I think im having a boy...do you see what i see on this ultrasound??

I cropped it to make it my FB profile pic and i noticed the the end of the baby what looks like a little penis...what do you think? Im 12 weeks.

that is pretty much what i saw at my 12 week US with my ds. i knew from that early on.

From what I have read anything you see that early could still signify a girl...even if you think you see something...

At that point....it could go either way. I wouldn't necessarily think it's a boy just from a quick shot on the sonogram, especially since it would be so teeny tiny and I've read that it can look the same at that point of gestation.

Check out this link - girl and boy parts look soooo similar at that stage, the only way to tell gender is the angle of the nub, and you'd need a profile shot, not a head on shot.

the could easily be part part of the foot or umbilical cord. to be honest, that doesnt really look like where boy parts would go.. it kind of looks like its attached to the foot...
i def wouldnt go painting the room blue!

Could be... I found out at 13wks that I was having a boy - though i did have a 3d/4d sono at that time

Mine had the same at 12 weeks...then at 16 weeks they said girl. I'm just entirely confused now.

I thought I saw a weewee at my 19week sono, and even at that appointment I was convinced I was having a boy up until the 3 seconds before the tech said girl. So you really never know! It turned out to be the cord and folds of skin.

I knew at 12 weeks that I was having a boy. THe tech was positive it was a boy, said she hadn't been wrong in 20 years and printed out a pix that showed his little penis. Sure enough she was right at the 20 week. He is DEFINATELY a boy, even the doctor was laughing about how there was no mistaking it with him! So yes it is possible, although I would only rely on the tech or dr to tell you, not for you to guess on your own.

boys and girls both start out with "nubs" in the first tri which is why doctors generally won't venture to guess until beyond that point. I say it's too early to know for sure.
