Dry Skin

I have been noticing the past couple days that the top of my hands appear to be red and my skin feels very dry, I think a rash may be starting to develop.
I have never had any skin condition, any idea if this happens with pregnancy or could be something else?

Re: Dry Skin

my hands have been getting really dry lately too. I am not sure if its just the winter or if its pregnancy related but i have noticed that if i use a really good hand cream (I like Gold Bond ultimate healing with Aloe) it improves.

Re: Dry Skin

I've been dryer this year than I ever am. I don't know if it is the rougher winter we've been having, the pregnancy, or a combination of both. My knuckles were a mess for about a month and my legs get so dry that they burn. I try to keep my showers cool, I put BioOil on my legs when I get out of the shower and at night before bed, and I use a lot of cream. I've been using Vaseline Intensive Rescue and it works great (if you remember the commercials from last year, that is the stuff that they were giving out in Alaska). If I miss putting on the bio oil, or I forget to throw my cream in my purse, I definitely notice that I get really dry again.

Re: Dry Skin

also make sure you are drinking TONS of water and if you can do either shorter showers or with water that isn't as hot. . the hotter the water, the more itchy and dry your skin will be. .
