cord compression (long)
I went for my check up at Dr Kofinas' office on Thursday and the indomethacin obviously worked for now cause it got my cervix back to a 40! I was so happy, that was great news! maybe I wouldn't need a cerclage now. I am waiting for Dr Kofinas to be back from Greece to talk about it. We are getting real close to the limit for it.
Anyway just when I thought things were looking up, I come to find out that baby A has a slight cord compression and I am being sent to the hospital immediately. I was in such shock! Apparently he has his cord draped over his shoulders like a scarf and it was being compressed by his head!
I had already been in the hospital Tuesday for a preeclampsia workup and now I'm going back!
Well while I am there they decide it is a good idea to give me steroid shots for the babies lungs. I hope that was the right thing to do because of course I came home and googled it and found soooo many side effects I made myself sick! So discharged Thursday night finally and readmitted again Friday.
I am soooo worried again! I feel like everytime somthing is looking up another bombshell drops
Has any one of you moms had stuff like this go on?

Re: cord compression (long)
aw u poor thing. I feel your pain. I got the shots too but did not google..just keep telling yourself it's for the good of the babies in cAse they come early. they are watching me as well to see if the cord will get compressed since it can happen when baby has hardly any fluid to move around in. remember your lil ones keep moving around so hopefully the position will change and everything will b alright. sending you lots of good wishes for your lil ones. be strong

Re: cord compression (long)
Oh I hope everything is okay! I'm sure the shot was the right thing to do. . try not to second guess yourself and I agree DON"T GOOGLE. . I found out recently I had high amniotic fluids and googled it and it was a nightmare. . really made me insane
then one of the girls here suggested I post on parenting to see if anyone had had experiences with that (after I didn't have much response here) and there were a few women who had gone through the same thing and all their LO's were fine and that was much more of a relief. . so you might want to try that.
so hang in there. . many things will go well for you and your LOs

Hang in there. I feel like with multiples pregnancies they are always looking for something.
I am always waiting for the other shoe to drop as well. I am excited that come Monday I can say I've made it to 30 weeks!
Keeping you and the babies in my thoughts!
