Furniture
How far in advance are you or did you order the baby furniture? I read somewhere to order between 12 and 15 weeks before, is this correct?

i ordered mine around 25 weeks because some furniture can take 14 weeks to come in...i felt like this was maybe even pushing it a little

It depends on where you get it. My glider took 2 weeks (BRU said it would take 12), and my crib took two days!  That one was a shocker!

My glider and dresser were both in stock at BBB so I got them the same day. . crib was ordered ahead of time but I didn't care so much bc we're not using it for the first few months anyway. .

We are ordering it this week. I know it could take up to about 12-14 weeks to come in or be in stock. Either way the room is ready and it doesn't matter to us when it comes in, I just definitely want it in before the baby arrives.

I ordered from Behrs in Mid Jan and they sch it to come in Mid March (I am due in April)

i ordered mine a few weeks ago, only cuz the furniture we wanted was a special order and they told us it could take 16-18 weeks! i think i was 17 weeks when i ordered

I ordered mine from Behrs they said it can take at least 12 weeks.

I ordered mine around 24 weeks. They told me it could take up to 12 weeks to come in. Well I ordered early, because it's already in!!

We ordered our dressers from Gothic Cabinet and had them stained to match our cribs. It took two weeks. I am so glad we did this instead of ordering baby furniture this time around. With DS we got a beautiful set made by Westwood. Because the furniture from Gothic is not nursery furniture the drawers are much deeper and they open all the way. Just something to think about...

SO I mentioned the I ordered the furniture from Behr's about 2 weeks ago and was told Mid-March - I just got a phone call that it is already in!! I have to no place to put it but it was def sooner than their 12 week expected delivery

Ordered from Behrs at 17 weeks because I thought it would take 12 weeks to deliver, but it came in 4 weeks.

Same here. Instead of 12 weeks, it took about 3 weeks...but I would play it safe and order it 12 weeks in advance.
