Congrats to your friend!!
Maybe just bring some flowers and her favorite drink/food (starbucks or something??) If they decided on a name I would go to a personalization website (redenvelope.com or personalizationmall.com etc) and get her something cute with the LO's name and birth date. They have SOO many cute things you can get and it should only take about a week to get. I have a frame w/my DS's name and Bday and a personalized stuffed elephant, they are my favorite gifts we received.
Other than that maybe just ask her what/if she needs anything? If she is your best friend she will just love to see you!! Good luck.

though food is coming in, I'd say a GC to a local restaurant. you can't have enough meals! Even $10-20 to the local pizzeria would have made my day!

My friend brought me some magazines. It was my last chance to read for a while. Also I'd try to visit and bring lunch When the baby comes home.

I agree that a GC for a take out restaurant (or a cleaning service!) would be great, the food and help will probably start to dwindle around 2 or 3 weeks PP and Mom and Dad will still be tired and trying to get into a routine. They can use the GCs after the initial rush of help has passed.
