Make up help!
I do not wear make up on a daily basis and am clueless when it comes to it. I want to buy a few things but I don't know where to start....what is one of your favorite make up items (include brand) that you think is a must?

Black eyeliner- any brand!
Mostly I just wear powder to even out my skin tone- I use Bare Escentuals Beige and Light Beige blended together and then Bare Escentuals "Warmth" on my cheeks and nose to give it that glow. Then I'll use black eyeliner and sometimes mascara or light eyeshadow.

Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer is light and you apply like a facial lotion- you can add just 1 layer for sheerness, and apply again for more coverage.

an eyelash curler - Ive had the same Revlon one for years.
mascara - this one is personal preference...but since u don't wear a lot of makeup I'd go with maybelline - its a classic brand and inexpensive. Not sure if they still make Full n Soft...or any from the Volum Express line.
tinted moisturizer - love Laura Mercier (oil-free for me)
lipgloss/stick - go a shade or 2 up from your natural lip color. I love Mac, Chanel, Dior & Revlon.

When I went from wearing no makeup (aside from lipstick) to wanting to wear it I went to Sephora, because I honestly had no clue what to buy. I always picked out the wrong colors at stores like CVS. The 1st items I started wearing were concealer under and around eyes, mascara and blush. Just these few things brightened up my face a lot. I now use primer, eyeliner, and eyeshadow a lot more regularly. Everything is from Sephora with help from the salespeople!!! You can try stuff on, buy it and return it if you don't like it. I don't buy the most expensive brands there either, and even if an eyeshadow costs $25 it lasts a year!
