Stefanie you are not wrong! Men sux! My Mother's day once again is not ummmmmm memorable   Needless to say, I will not be putting in the same thought that I did to Father's day last year. He's lucky if he gets a card next year or if I will let him sleep in our room tonight.
Sorry didn't mean to hijack. But you are not wrong at all.

I think it sounds like so many husbands just didn't live up to expectations this year. It seems like they didn't realize how big a deal this holiday was for us. I'm sorry your mother's day was disappointing and I hope next year is better.

Aww I'm sorry. I don't think you're wrong. DH needs to understand that you have 2 Mom's to see plus its your day too - and you have to split it up and schedule your plans so that everyone is included...and he cant go changing plans last minute.

Wow she didn't even call you to wish you a happy mother's day on your first mother's day -- even after your DH brought it up! 
Why did the time for lunch get changed anyway? 
WhatEVER to her is right! 
Don't let it get to you! Why would you want an insincere "happy mother's day" from her anyway.

I don't think you are wrong..I think that next year you should tell your DH what you want to do for mother's day and that is that. Your husband's mother does not have to be a part of your day if that does not make you happy.

You were definitely not wrong. Changing the plans was so unfair! I think your MIL might have some control issues .
Why can't the husbands get it right for one day? Instead of making things pleasant and smooth- they contribute to the problem. I guess they need the attention or something. ( sorry to vent on your vent- DH is not on my good side right now. )

You were right! I would of been upset to, I also had a time situation, dinner w/ my parents at 5pm and my MIL decided to have the BBQ at 4, so annoying! We have to go there at 3 just so we can spend some more time with them.... Hope you enjoyed your day!
