What color shoes?
I can't wear black, right? I was thinking dark brown?
Its for a wedding and an engagement party.
(eta - I am overweight and this dress is very form flattering. I feel very confident in it. I def recommend it. )

You could go the opposite side of the spectrum and do Pink or Red
