Help me create an outfit pleeease
I just started working at a company that manufactures makeup. Everyone who works there is fairly young (I would say mostly women in their 20's and 30's) and VERY trendy. Some wear dress pants and nice shirts (which I already have a bunch of) but a lot also wear casual dresses, sweater dresses with leggings, leggings with long shirts/sweaters and boots, etc. I havent gone work clothes shopping in YEARS and I have no idea even where to start. I'm not very good at putting outfits together either, but I want to get a few good outfits together for work days.
Anyone want to play along and help put together an outfit or two for me? I dont even know where to start looking...even for simple things like leggings. I searched Urban Outfitters and Express...they all look the same and I dont even know what accessories to go with what!

Go to J Crew and use one of their personal shoppers (it's free). If you are looking to spend less money, I would go to some place like Express...look at the window displays for inspiration!

I dress how you are describing
I actually get leggings at forever 21 or target (they had great ones on sale last week for $5)
I get dresses from Century 21, Saks off 5th, bloomies and forver 21
today I am wearing a pretty simple outfit that I am getting alot of compliments on:
gray booties
black skinny jeans
white long sleeve t
gray open cardigan
totally fine for work or for where ever I am going to dinner later

Ditto.. also look at zara, H&M, wet seal, charlotte russe, etc. you'd be surprised at some of the stuff I've gotten from there and have gotten so many compliments! ;O)
