New Orleans
DH and I have always wanted to visit New Orleans so we are looking to book a trip for this winter. We are considering staying at a B&B, possibly an old mansion. Any words of advice, things to definitely hit up and/or avoid? TIA!!

Re: New Orleans
Must Do: Cafe Du Monde Commanders Palace for brunch Mr B's for Dinner Pat O'Brien's for hurricanes in the dueling piano bar. Po Boys at Desire in the Royal Sonesta Hotel. Walking around Jackson Square and through the Market Place Drinks at Touche - it's in the Omni Royal Hotel on St. Louis (this is also our preferred hotel) A tour of the Garden District A swamp tour if it's not too cold If there are any Mardi Gras parades while you are there, you should check it out.
I have only stayed in hotels located in the French Quarter - when picking a place check trip advisor and reviews for locations. A block here or there may put you in a location that you may not feel that safe walking around.
Have a great time! It's one of my favorite places in the world!
