nails - UV top coat over color
does anyone do this? does the UV crack? evertime i get it done, the UV cracks within a few days

I have not tried this but have you tried Shellac? You can find it in Cactus Salons now and it is the "14 day nail polish" I have had it twice so far and there is no cracking, no peeling, no chipping - it is awesome. It is a nail polish that is cured with UV light.

is it like the OPI axxium? i hated that, ruined my nails moreso that the gel/powder 
where do you get it done? if its near me, id love to try it!

no it is not like the OPI stuff - I thought so too. I was afraid my nails would be a wreck when it came off but I was surprised they weren't and they grew a lot too while I had it on - it literally lasted the 2 weeks and looked just as good as it did the day I had it done. My friend turned me on to it and she has been doing it since June, she can stretch hers out to 3 weeks - she said she has not had any nail damage either.
You can read up on it if you google it..it is called CND Shellac.

My mom and sisters just got it done b/4 they went on vacation and it lasted the full 3 weeks... they loved it!
