Bethpage water
Now has Chlorine.
Not only does it taste awful, I smell it when I shower.
I don't know if there's anything we can do. I'm considering a whole house water filter but I know that could be expensive.
Has anyone done this?

Yeah, we are experiencing the same thing. For some reason some sinks are worse than others in the house too. Upstairs in my house is the worst, along with the outside faucets. It is just terrible. We are going to get a whole house filter, but are unsure where to begin researching. A lot of our friends are also going to do the same.
My dh has been doing research and he found that breathing in the chlorine while showering can lead to asthma and breathing problems amongst other things.

I didn't realize that home filtration systems were that reasonable.
I thought I was going to have to spend thousands.
I'm sure it's more than just the actual system, plumber fees and other stuff but this may be something we can do.

Yeah, the intial investment doesn't look that bad, about $1000 is what we have been reading too. We are just not sure where to go, so our research has been all internet based and I don't know how biased the information I am reading is you know? It still is a decent size investment that I want to make sure I get the right one.
