Side Sleeping
I have had a nightmare with Noah last night, he wouldn't go down to sleep and he was awake from 3 am until around 6 am. He usually goes to sleep around 8.30, has a bottle at around midnight and sleeps until around 8.30 am. Tonight was looking the same way until I rolled him onto his side, where he peacefully fell asleep.
So I have left him on his side with a rolled up blanket on his side and he is tethered in the crib with a blanket (tucked under the mattress)
Does anyone else do this? I might let him sleep this way for another hor and roll him on to his back.
I am a bit nervous about it, but I remember when I had him and was in the hospital, the nurses always put him on his side to settle him down.
I just want a bit of reassurance please!!!

Re: Side Sleeping
I also put Luka on his side and just put a rolled up receiving blanket behind his back. He seems to like it better than his back but he will sleep on his back aswell just not as long.

Re: Side Sleeping
I just started Jordana side sleeping. Her head was beginning to flatten in the back.

Re: Side Sleeping
Emma rolls over now, so she is constantly going onto to her side at night. She seems ok so I leave her alone.

Re: Side Sleeping
How old is he? I think side sleeping is okay, that's how my son started to do when he could roll over.He eventually started sleeping on his belly on his own. I would put him on his back and he would turn to his side and the one night he turned to his belly.
I would let him on his side but I would remove the blanket from behind him. I was paranoid about that.

Re: Side Sleeping
He is 16 weeks today. He can't turn yet and is not very strong on his tum.
I chickened out at like 10pm and turned him onto his back.
He has a big flat spot on his head and I am going to find out more about side sleeping because that might help to even it out.
We are going to a pediatric tomorrow morning, so hopefully we can get more help!
