we went through a broker who compared rates for us and got us a good rate by shopping around, we ended up with merrimack mutual...

We did ours through Allstate. I don't believe they are the actual company that covers us. We get a discount because our car insurance is with them.

alot comes in to play
size of house and area
the deductible and wind damage dectuible, and if you have flood covered
pools?
dogs?
fireplaces?
updates?
gas or oil?
but I have a 2700 sqft home and I pay $1390 and that also includes a rider for my e-ringI have gas some updates, a dog, 2 fireplaces 1 is gas and a pool, and a pond which I think counted because its 4ft and they saw it when they did a goolge earth image of the house
