Mecklenburg County - Charlotte, NC
Does anyone know how much the taxes are there? I heard high, about 8k a year. Just curious I know there are a few LIF members down there.
DH and I are trying to relocate down there within the next year. If you can suggest another area with less taxes that would be great! TIA

I live in Meck county and pay 1500 a year in taxes....I DO have a small house, 1/3 of an acre but 8k, NO WAY, unless you are in a McMansion

My sister and her family all live in Mecklenburg county. Some of their houses are pretty large. None of their taxes are anywhere near 8K, probably at the most half that and most of them are much less.
Also, my sister is a real estate agent so if you want her info let me know.
