Help me understand this....
had my sono this morning (CD11) and they saw 2 follies on my left that measure 13mm and two on the right at 24 and 25mm
I usually O on CD14 - but i know the clomid can change your cycle. Do these measurements give any indication of when i will O? Is it possible i will have 4 eggs or most likely just the two
And my uterine lining was 7 - is that good?
Thanks for any input

Re: Help me understand this....
The 7 for your uterine lining is good! As for when you will O .. I would speak to your RE about that. I always used Ovidrel injection to force ovulation. It seems to me that the ones on your right side are the dominant ones- the ones on the left don't seem quite big enough- but having 2 that size on the right is really great!! That's a great response to Clomid alone- I had to use injections to get anything significant!

Re: Help me understand this....
are you going to be triggering?? the two that are 24 and 25 will prob be the ones you will have. i doubt the others will mature. so you will prob have two. as for when you will O, i would think you may WANT to do a trigger - that way you know when you O and can time appropriately. also with trigger you know the eggs release at a good size. they CAN become too big and not release at all, so trigger guarantees that that doesnt happen.
good luck!!

If you triggered, I believe the two bigger ones are the ones that would release- but I'm not 100% on that. It's not a problem to have 4 though.. I had a cycle where I had 4 follies.. it just increases the chance of multiples.
As far as how big they were supposed to be.. mine were always in the low 20 range. usually 19-24ish...

Re: Help me understand this....
What happens is that they are monitoring your levels and seeing how close you are to a surge as well as the size of your follicles..btw, your lining sounds great as well...it sounds like you're getting close, but that all of the action is on the side with the larger follicles-I've always been told that those in the 20s are the ones...good luck!

Re: Help me understand this....
i'm guessing that your dr expects you to ovulate in the next week but if you don't detect a surge, they will probably check you again (sono and blood work) to see what's going on.
anything over 15 is considered mature and should release. so by the time you ovulate, those 2 on the left may continue to grow and become mature. if not, then you will have the 2 on the right. either way, great results. good luck!

The two on the right will definitely be released. The smaller on the left still stand a chance. Some REs believe that anything over 10 has potential.

Thats what im afraid of - not so much for me but DH - im afraid to even tell him that there are technically 4 although most likely only 2 will be released. He will

When i O without meds its usually CD14 - so technically i should O this week unless the clomid delays it.
But after a week will they be too big - do they keep growing -- ughh this stuff is so confusing
Im so glad i have you girls - dont know what i would do

If you are really concerned about multiples you can talk to your dof about using Femara, rather than Clomid, if you need another cycle (hopefully you won't!!). You usually don't produce as many follies on Femara. Of course, I am having twins from Femara, but my docs all told me that is not very common.
