Help me choose a color!!!! Pics included

We just bought a house and started to paint. So far we painted the living room BM Fernwood Green. (Pic on bottom). I'm having trouble picking what color to pain the kitchen. Here are my two choices:

1. Paint the kitchen the same Green as the living room. The living room and kitchen run right into each other and its a small house.

2. Paint the kitchen Powell Buff (Pic on bottom). I was thinking to just paint it a neutral color since I was afraid the other options will be too much green. The Bedrooms, bathrooms and basement are going to be different shades of blue and white. We do plan on re-doing the kitchen and adding onto the house in about 2 years. So I would most likely change the kitchen color again.

Here are two pics on the color choices. First one is Fernwood Green and second is Powell Buff. I have pics of the living room and kitchen in my album. Just a FYI, we painted all the windows and molding white, got new white doors and new stainless steel appliances. I haven't taken new pics yet.

First off, congrats on the house! I love the kitchen!

I vote for the Powell Buff color in the kitchen. We just painted our LR a light green and our DR a darker green. So we went with just a neutral off white color for the kitchen since I didn't want too much green either. I think the color you picked would look great

My living room is fernwood green too!

My dining room and kitchen are Putnam Ivory.

It's an open floor plan and all the rooms kind of run together. It looks great!

I looked at your pictures (beautiful home by the way) and I would do Fernwood in the kitchen too. I think the Powell buff is going to look too yellow even though pale in the kitchen between the white trim and oak cabinets.

If you don't mind darker, what if you went one shade darker on the swatch card for Fernwood. It would flow and you really could do it considering how much sunlight you get.

We used Powell Buff in almost all the rooms in our house - we used it as our version of 'white'. It looks different in the kitchen than the family room and it again looks different in the bedroom. We took the suggestion of the interior decorator we hired - as first when she showed me the sample I was like 'no way' ---- then she convinced me to try samples on the wall, and in the end we loved it. Powell Buff and Philadelphia Cream.

P.S. I don't like it for our bedroom color - so we've been on a hunt for a new color for that room.
