And tonight for dinner..
This was our conversation:
Me to Joseph: "How was your day at school today?"
Joseph: "Well I slapped Felipe by accident."
Me: "You slapped him?? How did that happen by accident?"
Joseph "I was running with my hands out & accidentally hit him."
Me: "Did your teacher know it was an accident? Were you angry when it happened?"
Joseph "No I wasn't angry at all. I was sorry because it was an accident. My teacher knows it was. I had to sit on the bench for a little bit, but I didn't have to go to the office."
Me to Joseph "Did you behave in circle time?"
Joseph: "Yes, I did. I listened really well."
Me: "What do you do at circle time besides sit in a circle?"
Joseph: "We don't sit in a circle. We sit in an oval because the rug is oval shaped."
Me to Maddie: "How was your day, Maddie?"
Maddie: "Well I didn't slap anyone."
Me: "Oh good. So you had a good day!"
Maddie: "Yes, and I didn't have to sit on the bench."
Me: "That's great. So no one got hit in toddlers."
Maddie (said happily): "No, I hit Connor."
Me: "What?! I thought you said you didn't hit anyone?"
Maddie "No, I didn't slap anyone. He pushed me, so I hit him."
Me: "We are not allowed to hit our friends, are we?"
Maddie: "Well, I thought it was a good idea!"
I guess he's a little of Alex P. Keaton with some Nick thrown in. She's definitely the Mallory type.
