Oreck Vacuum
Just spent $650 on an Oreck please tell me I havent lost my mind and it will be worth it??? It comes with a handheld and a sweep vac.

We have one (got it as a gift though so I never had sticker shock!) and it's GREAT! I can go from wood to area rug to tile without a problem, and the little canister vac we got with it comes in handy all the time!

You're going to have a love/hate relationship with it I love mine bc it sucks up EVERYTHING. But its loud...REALLY loud and that annoys the cr@p out of me! Also the handheld vacuum is so uncomfortable. The extension tubes always get detached and it is so annoying to keep on pushing them in together while you're cleaning and moving furniture.
IMO, the Oreck is great but not worth that kind of $$. I paid I think $450 for mine...

My parents have one and they love it. It is well worth the investment. Before I met DH he purchased a Kirby for $1,200.00! So don't feel so bad. 8 years later it still works as if it was brand new!
