cheapest carpet?

We want to put down CHEAP carpet in our new house - at least in the playroom and maybe in bedrooms. In a few years we will be doing a lot of work on the house (when we can afford it! and when the kids are older), so for now we just want really really cheap carpet, just so they don't have to play on wood floors, and so they can spill, spit up, etc and we won't care!

Any suggestions?

I'm in the same boat...we are renovating a few rooms but want to wait to refinish the wood floors, so we want cheap carpet too!

We went to A-1 carpets they were charging $900 plus to install. The rooms are very small, but we are not sure if thats a good price...basically it was $23/sq ft.

i think home depot really is inexpensive when running a sale. They have different grades so if you go with the cheapest i think its pretty inexpensive.

Home depot & just order one of the colors they have in the store. They are very limited but if you just want a neutral beige your fine!

If you have beautiful hardwood floors then they can create a custom sized area rug with the carpet & hem the edges. It would eliminate installation costs.
