I have been so excited to move to the burbs and have a yard...
... so Sasha can play and we can hang outside.
And now there are freakin' coyotes running around about 4 miles from my new house...

You're in Westchester, right? Scary! I heard about that! Today I was attending a conference at Manhattanville College in Purchase and there was a BEAR on campus.  I live in Putnam and I'm sort of surprised that these things aren't happening where I live (not that I want them to) because it's pretty developed and populated in that part of W'chester.

My sister has a family of bears on her property in CT.....but they don't come out during the day.

Randi - We have bears around here too! Maybe not in Hoboken, but where I am they are around. I have yet to see one, but it wouldn't surprise me to look out my window one day and see one.

We have coyotes all over the place here in CO. They don't generally come around people and typically are out at night.

No clue... We are moving mid to late August-- so, that does give time to round up all the coyote uglies!

My brother is in Rockland. They have all sorts of animals up there - even Wild Turkeys!.

My in laws live across the street from woods, in Ronkonkoma..they have had foxes, turkeys, everything..

I live in Orange County, we have bear,dear, turkeys, coyotes YOU NAME IT!!!!! I feel very safe in daylight outside.
