Formica countertops....Post yours please!!
Granite is just not in our budget. 
I wish it was, but there are better places to spend 6k in our remodel.
Can you please show me your Formica countertops, new or old.

not an answer to your question, but I've seen people use granite tiles and supposedly it's cheaper...in the long run I've heard it's better to use granite because it stands up longer.

I would hate not to use Granite, My contracted is at the store now haggling then :) Fingers crossed!!!
I mean formica was 2900 Granite is 4200 so its not much of a jump.

I not get a solid color - mine is and it shows all the scratches. Its about 6 years old and looks worse then my mom's - and hers is 25+ years old!
Have you shopped around? maybe some place has some that someone changed their mind or was cut wrong that would fit your space

Dont have a close up - sorry
Just a recommendation - the darker colors are better - you dont seem the seems if you do a backsplash and they look more like other materials.

I dont have a close up- I will try and take one tonight for you- but ours are black and like spackled to look like granite- I love them!
