Who wants to help me decorate our new bedroom? LOTS of info & pics...
So, the room is kinda small-- but it's a *little* bigger than our current bedroom. Although we lose a wall with the closets.
I was watching this show last weekend on HGTV, Sarah's House-- and she was redoing the master bedroom, and that's my inspiration. I fell in love with the look, and the richness of everything-- I don't want to recreate it per se, but make a livable version of it. The finished version from the show, looks like a show house-- but that's what it is. Not a real bedroom.
I found some pillows today at HomeGoods and I threw them on my bed in my current bedroom. I think they look nice, but I want to get some more patterns to mix and match. I actually really like this other pattern I saw at Pottery Barn last weekend too. My bedding is all white-- which is new and I like it because it's very crisp and I can always change accessories.
I need help with recreating the look, picking paint and finding cool stuff, etc.
Here are pics from the "inspiration room"

Here is the pattern from Pottery Barn that I like:

Here is our current bedroom with the new pillows. Pic quality isn't great because I took with my cell phone.
Here are pics from the bedroom at the new house. We are pulling up the carpet, refinishing the hardwoods under there. We'll most likely put the bed on the wall where the dresser is, since we have a king and I think that's the only place it will fit.
The room gets very bright with that large window-- so I want to do a rich color on the wall-- was thinking something caramel-y, but that was before I decided to use this room as inspiration.
Walking in.. hallway, then wall of closets
Prob will put bed here.. taking that box thing off the wall!!
Our bed is too big to go here. We'll put a dresser and a wall mounted TV here prob.

This bed is from Stanley - a low footboard may be the way to go since the room isn't that big. It comes in a few different finishes.
Classics British Colonial Poster Bed
This one is from Bassett and the King is on clearance for less than $800
Bench from Bassett that you could upholster with any fabric
If you want to do a few coordinating fabrics, you may be better off returning what you got at PB and get the pillows custom made so you can use the same fabric throughout the room - Unless PB sells the fabric by the yard.

thanks-- I think the bed is the last piece and I am in no rush to get that, but we do want a platform because I think it will be more comfortable for us.
I know I definitely need to take a trip to the fabric store, but I need one fabric to start with-- also so I can pick a paint color, etc. I wanted to do something different than yellow, because we have a very light yellow in our bedroom now-- but if I do something a little richer, it will feel different enough I guess.
